iRobot Roomba is on sale at Amazon for the lowest price we’ve seen in a while
Remember the cartoon “The Jetsons?” The 1960s cartoon features George and Judy Jeston enjoying the services of a space-age maid named Rosie, who handled housework and other chores.
The cartoon depicting the world of the future was set in 2062 but, at least as of 2024, we don’t yet have a Rosie to take care of all those things we don’t feel like doing. There is one chore, however, you can cross off your list and hand off to your own personal robot.
Vacuuming isn’t on anyone’s favorites list so Amazon has iRobot’s Roomba robot vacuum on sale for $179, a savings of 28% off the regular price of $249.99.
Excellent on carpets and hardwood floors, the Roomba has a three-stage cleaning system to cover all sorts of surfaces. It uses smart navigation to clean in neat rows, using sensors to help is avoid furniture and stairs. Its sleek, low-profile design means it can slide into tighter spots and grab dust and dirt under beds and sofas, while the Edge-Sweeping Brush gets into edges and corners.
It even has features like Clean While I’m Away that lets you suggest cleaning schedules and a Cleaning Map report so you can know what spots it hit even when you aren’t home.
The Roomba recharges itself so you don’t have to, cleaning up to 120 minutes on a single charge. You can even use your Amazon Alexa to operate your robot.
