Investors pay mega bucks for mega property at Port of Chickasaw
Local and out-of-town investors paid $6.5 million for the Tecnico Corporation property on Viaduct Road at the Port of Chickasaw, according to Cameron Weavil of The Weavil Company, who handled both sides of the transaction. The 23-acre site in Chickasaw includes three buildings totalling 180,000 square feet of warehouse space and 2,000 feet of pier space. Tecnico will move out and new tenant leases have been secured.
Direct Furniture has leased 5,497square feet of retail space at The Wharf off Canal Road in Orange Beach, according to Jeff Barnes of Stirling and Steadman Bethea of Stirling, who represented the landlord.
A local investor paid $1.3 million for a 6,175-square-foot renovated retail center at 4504 Old Shell Road in Mobile, according to Chris Harle of White-Spunner Realty, who represented the seller. The building was the original home of Talbots and was later divided into three retail units. Cameron Weavil of The Weavil Company represented the buyer of the fully leased center.
Bay Area Professional Counseling has leased 1,800 square feet of office space at 6576 Airport Blvd., in Mobile, and plans to open next month, according to Jill Meeks of Stirling, who represented the landlord. Barbara Moore of Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate worked for the tenant. Bay Area Professional Counseling will relocate from its office on Demetropolis Road in Mobile.
Watch for the second phase of Raley Farms to feature 108 single-family home lots on 36 acres along Coastal Gateway Boulevard just east of Raley Farms phase 1 on Preston Way in Gulf Shores. And developers plan to build Clear Creek RV Park, a 264-unit recreational vehicle park on almost 40 acres south of Doc McDuffie Road and east of the Foley Beach Express in the Foley area, according to the Baldwin Planning Commission.
Adam Jones plans to open a Jiu-Jitsu studio in 2,500 square feet of space in Plaza North Shopping Center at 3 W. Nine Mile Road in Pensacola, according to Jason Scott of Stirling, who represented the landlord in the lease transaction.
