Instead of Nashville, Reader’s Digest suggests this ‘underrated’ Alabama city
Move over Music City.
Florence made Reader’s Digest’s list of the 15 most underrated American cities worth a visit, with the national publication touting its music and food scene.
The list – admittedly, crafted for people unfamiliar with the area’s attractions – touted Florence’s place in music history through its place in the Shoals.
The story also encouraged visitors to come for the W.C. Handy Music Festival, which will run from Friday, July 21st to Sunday, July 30th.
It also lauded The Stricklin Hotel and GunRunner, two boutique hotels, as well as Trowbridge’s ice cream shop and Big Bad Breakfast.
