Inked: 5-star Central-Phenix City wide receiver Cam Coleman signs letter of intent with Auburn
Cam Coleman, a 5-star wide receiver out of Central High School in Phenix City, is the most recent player to officially join Auburn’s 2024 signing class.
Coleman, who has been committed to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers since Dec. 1, signed his name on the dotted line of his national letter of intent Wednesday, becoming the seventh high school recruit of the early signing period to send over his paperwork to Auburn.
In his senior season with the Central Red Devils, Coleman tallied 1,372 receiving yards on 61 receptions — of which 18 went for touchdowns. Coleman also recorded a 73-yard touchdown catch to help Central win the AHSAA 7A championship on Dec. 6.
Measuring 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Coleman ranks as the third-best wide receiver in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 1 recruit out of the state of Alabama, regardless of position.
