Inked: 4-star Tuskegee linebacker Joseph Phillips signs letter of intent with Auburn

Joseph Phillips, a 4-star linebacker out of Booker T. Washington in Tuskegee, is the most recent player to officially join Auburn’s 2024 signing class.

Phillips, who has been committed to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers since June 16, signed his name on the dotted line of his national letter of intent on Wednesday, becoming the second high school recruit of the early signing period to send over his paperwork to Auburn.

In his senior season at Booker T. Washington, Phillips tallied 140 tackles, 35 tackles for a loss, 10 sacks and five forced fumbles.

Measuring 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds, Phillips ranks as the ninth-ranked edge rusher in the country and the eleventh-ranked prospect out of the state of Alabama, according to 247Sports.
