Inked: 4-star Moody DB A’mon Lane-Ganus signs letter of intent with Auburn

A’mon Lane-Ganus, a 4-star defensive back out of Moody High School, is the most recent player to officially join Auburn’s 2024 signing class.

Lane-Ganus, who has been committed to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers since July 30, 2022, signed his name on the dotted line of his national letter of intent on Wednesday.

Lane-Ganus saw his senior season at Moody be significantly shortened as he suffered a dislocated kneecap in September. The injury ended up requiring surgery, sidelining Lane-Ganus for the remainder of Moody’s regular season. Lane-Ganus went on to return to action in Moody’s pair of playoff games.

During his junior season with Moody, Lane-Ganus appeared in 12 games, tallied 55 total tackles and nine pass breakups.

Measuring 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, Lane-Ganus ranks as the 21st-best cornerback in the 2024 recruiting cycle and is the 14th-best recruit out of the state of Alabama, regardless of position, according to 247Sports.

After making an early commitment to the Tigers in June of 2022, Lane-Ganus has never wavered. Throughout his commitment, Lane-Ganus also earned offers from the likes of Arkansas, Florida State, Michigan, Ole Miss and Tennessee, among others.

With the addition of Lane-Ganus, barring no other changes to Auburn’s current or prospective roster, Auburn’s room of defensive backs in 2024 is set to feature Champ Anthony, 4-star Jalyn Crawford, 4-star Kensley Faustin, 3-star Kaleb Harris, JC Hart, Colton Hood, CJ Johnson, Donovan Kaufman, Lane-Ganus, Kayin Lee, Terrance Love, Zion Puckett, JD Rhym, JUCO transfer Laquan Robinson, Tyler Scott, Sylvester Smith and Caleb Wooden.
