It was Jalyn Crawford’s commitment that helped kick off a big recruiting month for Auburn, and on Wednesday, he officially signed with the Tigers.

Crawford officially joined Auburn’s 11th-ranked signing class on December’s National Signing Day. He is a four-star rated defensive back from Georgia and picked Auburn over Florida and LSU. He is the third high school signee of the day.

Crawford’s pledge in July was part of arguably Auburn’s best run of commitments under head coach Hugh Freeze’s tenure. Crawford committed on July 15, and by the end of the month, Auburn had added the pledges of five-star receiver Perry Thompson, four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick, four-star receiver Malcolm Simmons and four-star cornerback Amon Lane-Ganus.

Crawford is one of four defensive back commitments in Auburn’s incoming class of more than 20 players.

He is ranked just outside the top 200 in the 247Sports composite rankings.
