Inked: 4-star Chilton County linebacker Demarcus Riddick signs letter of intent with Auburn

Demarcus Riddick, a 4-star linebacker out of Chilton County High School out of Clanton, is the most recent player to officially join Auburn’s 2024 signing class.

Riddick, who has been committed to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers since July 26, signed his name on the dotted line of his national letter of intent on Wednesday.

In his senior season at Chilton County, Riddick tallied 92 total tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, three sacks, 14 quarterback hurries, an interception and a fumble recovery.

Measuring 6-foot-2 and 212 pounds, Riddick ranks as the fifth-ranked linebacker in the country and the sixth-ranked prospect out of the state of Alabama, according to 247Sports.

Before Riddick pledged to Auburn over the summer, he spent nearly eight months committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Riddick also held offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon and Texas A&M, among others.

With the addition of Riddick, barring any changes to the signing class or Auburn’s current roster, the Tigers’ 2024 linebacker room is set to feature Eugene Asante, 4-star D’Angelo Barber, Powell Gordon, Austin Keys, Jake Levant, Riddick, Cam Riley, Wesley Steiner, 4-star Jamonta Waller and Robert Woodyard Jr.
