A McLeansboro, Ill. man died Wednesday in a fiery crash in Marion County.

Cpl. Reginal M. King of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the incident happened at about 4:57 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 22 near the 6 mile marker, approximately five miles west of Hamilton.

David Golden, 64, was driving a 2009 Freightliner tractor-trailer that left the roadway, overturned and caught  fire.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
