Iconic country star coming to Alabama in 2025, ready to play classic hits
One of the most famous names in the country world is heading to Alabama this fall, playing a concert at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa.
Blake Shelton is set to perform on Oct. 17 at the amphitheater, 2710 Jack Warner Parkway. The 7 p.m. show was added to Shelton’s tour agenda on Monday, and is his only date in Alabama.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. CT via Ticketmaster, after a round of pre-sales. Prices haven’t been announced. Pre-sales start on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m. CT and end on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 11:59 p.m. CT, according to the ticket listing.
Crimson Tide fans are likely checking their calendars right now, to see if Shelton’s concert conflicts with an Alabama football game. Not to worry, however: The show is scheduled for a Friday, the night before Alabama faces Tennessee at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Shelton, 48, is a favorite with country fans in Alabama, although he hasn’t been a frequent visitor over the the years. His “Back to the Honky Tonk Tour” came to Birmingham in 2023 at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC, ending a seven-year hiatus.
The setlist included classic hits and signature songs such as “Honey Bee,” “All about Tonight,” “Ol’ Red,” “Some Beach,” “Sangria,” “God’s Country,‘ “I’ll Name the Dogs,” “Hillbilly Bone” and “God Gave Me You.”
Shelton also performed a free surprise concert at Iron City in 2016, playing to about 1,300 listeners. His history in Birmingham dates back to the early 2000’s, when Shelton performed at a McDonald’s as a promotional date for a radio station.

Nearly 30 of Shelton’s songs have reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, including his 2024 collaboration with Post Malone, “Pour Me a Drink.” Shelton’s latest single, “Texas,” was released in November 2024.
Shelton has won a plethora of awards in the music industry — from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, CMT, People’s Choice and more —and is a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
The genial star also earned fame as a coach on “The Voice,” appearing on 23 seasons from 2011 to 2023. During his tenure on the NBC reality show, Shelton coached contestants from Alabama that included Dexter Roberts, Kirk Jay, Red Marlow and Worth the Wait.
