I-65 repair work starts this week, lane closures planned
Drivers traveling parts of Interstate 65 in north Alabama should plan for delays this week.
The Alabama Department of Transportation crews will be paving I-65 northbound in the Hartselle and Priceville areas of Morgan County this week, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.
Motorists can expect delays due to single-lane closures between Exit 325 at Thompson Road in Hartselle and Exit 334 at Highway 67 in Priceville. Work will take place Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
The work is unrelated to the work being done on the Tennessee River bridges that started Sunday. Weather permitting, a single lane of the I-65 bridge will be closed from around 6 p.m. – 6 a.m. through February.
