Hurts-to-Zaccheaus like Milroe-to-Bond?
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts’ third touchdown in four second-half passes during Sunday’s NFL game against the Buffalo Bills looked familiar to CBS play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz.
Nantz opined that the former Alabama QB’s toss to wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus looked a lot like the throw by current Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe to wide receiver Isaiah Bond on Saturday.
Milroe connected with Bond on a fourth-and-goal pass from the Auburn 31-yard line with 32 seconds to play to provide the Crimson Tide with its winning points in a 27-24 Iron Bowl victory.

Bond made a leaping catch behind defenders in the same area of the end zone where Zaccheaus came down with his touchdown against Buffalo. The Hurts-to-Zaccheaus connection covered 29 yards and came on a third-and-15 snap.
Philadelphia came out of halftime trailing the Bills 17-7. But Zaccheaus’ touchdown put the Eagles in front 27-24 with 11:07 left in the fourth quarter.
Hurts also had a 3-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver A.J. Brown and a 15-yard TD toss to former Alabama All-American DeVonta Smith between the second-half kickoff and the throw to Zaccheaus despite the rain in Philadelphia.
