Hockey fans can also get some NHL playoff gear to support their teams, much like Will Ferrell showcased a couple weeks ago.
The Rangers lead the Hurricanes 1-0 in the series, as they won game 1 in a close 4-3 battle. The Rangers jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first period, but the Hurricanes stormed back to make it a one goal game with just under two minutes left in regulation. However, the Rangers were able to hang on and win the opening game of this series at home.
Two goals for the Rangers were scored by Mika Zibanejad, who also added an assist to his statline. The remaining two goals were scored by Vincent Trocheck and Artemi Panarin. All three of these players are the top goal scorers for the Rangers this postseason, and they will look to score even more during game 2 tonight.
The Hurricanes had three different goal scorers during game 1, including Seth Jarvis. He currently leads the team with four goals this postseason, and he has four assists to complement his shooting ability. His number of postseason assists is enough to be second-best on the team, making him a dual-threat on the offensive end.
The Hurricanes dominated the New York Islanders during their first round series, as they never conceded more than three goals in a single game. However, the Rangers already scored more than three goals in the series opener. So, the Hurricanes will need to improve their defense in order to steal a game in New York tonight.
