Many Alabama High School Athletic Association baseball teams in The Huntsville Times coverage area are pushing toward – or past – 20 games this season and the cream appears to be rising to the top.

Spring break sent several teams to the Gulf Coast and last week brought plenty of Tennessee teams to the area and as the “second” half of the season gets underway, the playoffs are just a month away.

This week, there’s a new No. 1 in the Huntsville Times Power 5 – but it’s close:
