Huntsville police are looking for whoever attempted to steal an automatic teller machine early this morning.

Spokesperson Sydney Martin said officers were called to Progress Bank, 2746 Carl T. Jones Drive, shortly before 5:15 a.m. on an alarm.

When they arrived, they found someone had attempted to steal an ATM.

WHNT is reporting the ATM was still attached to a chain hitched to a pickup truck.

Police are investigating.
