Huntsville police seek capital murder suspect in double homicide

Huntsville police are looking for a man who has been charged with capital murder in a deadly double homicide last month.

Investigators have obtained two capital murder warrants for Tye’ Deshun Stevens, 23, of Huntsville.

Stevens may be in the Anniston area, or in the Columbia, S.C. area, according to police. He could be driving a silver vehicle with an unknown tag.

Stevens is being sought in connection with the killings of D’Asia Monique Morris, 24, and Sequoiya Mone’e Lamar, 20, who were shot to death Aug. 29 in the 4400 block of Bonnell Drive.

Anyone seeing Stevens should not attempt to make contact, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact HPD Major Crimes Unit Investigator Julian Johnson at (256) 924-1778.
