A death investigation is underway in Huntsville after police responded to a report of a shooting Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded to the 4800 block of Blue Haven Road around 4:24 p.m. on a shooting call, said police department spokeswoman Sydney Martin.

Investigators with the department’s Major Crimes Unit are talking to witnesses and working to determine what happened, Martin said.

Madison County Coroner Tyler Berryhill could not immediately be reached for comment.
