Huntsville police charge man in deadly, seven-car crash

Huntsville police have charged a man with allegedly fleeing the scene of a fatal car crash June 3.

Joshua Taylor Payne, 30, turned himself in at the Public Safety Complex on Sunday, according to police. He is charged with leaving the scene of a serious accident.

The crash occurred Sunday morning around Highway 53 and Research Park Boulevard. One motorcyclist died at the scene and five other people were injured. Seven cars were involved in the crash.

Police said they expect to bring more charges related to the incident.
