Huntsville man killed his wife with claw hammer, court documents say
A Madison County man used a claw hammer to kill his wife following a domestic dispute, court documents say.
Ronnie Scott Cupps, 39, of Huntsville, faces murder charges in connection with the death of Teresa Cupps, 52. He is being held in the Madison County Jail on $75,000 bond.
According to court documents, investigators believe Ronnie Cupps struck Teresa in the head and face with a claw hammer on Oct. 27.
Huntsville police say officers found Teresa Cupps’ body at a residence in the 2000 block of Boardman Street on Sunday, Oct. 30, while performing a welfare check at about 4 p.m. Police said she died as a result of blunt force trauma. Investigators believe a domestic dispute led to her death.
Huntsville police, with the assistance of the United States Marshals Task Force, brought Ronnie Cupps into custody Monday.
