Huntsville man indicted for manslaughter in 13-year-old’s 2022 shooting death

A Huntsville man has been indicted for reckless manslaughter in connection with the 2022 shooting death of a 13-year-old.

Samuel Gaines, 20, was arrested Feb. 15 following a grand jury indictment.

According to court documents, Gaines pointed a gun and discharged a round into the chest of Jordan Myles on Dec. 11, 2022, who died after.

Bond was set at $5,000.

Myles was an eighth-grade student at Challenger Middle School.
