Huntsville police are investigating after a 26-year-old man was shot and killed in north Huntsville on Saturday.

Isaac Augusta Young was shot in a strip mall parking lot located at 3750 Highway 53 just before 2:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

He was transported to the hospital for his injuries but died there, Huntsville Police Department spokesperson Sydney Martin told AL.com.

“Major Crimes Unit Investigators are working to speak with a person of interest,” Martin said in an email. “No further information is available as the investigation is ongoing.”
