A Huntsville man faces murder charges after a shooting Sunday morning.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said Charles Theodore Spears, 33, has been charged with murder in connection with the early morning shooting on Lenox Lane in the Union Hill community.

Spears also faces charges of obstruction and a probation violation. He is being held in the Morgan County Jail without bond.

The Morgan County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Ronald Richard Morgan, 61, of Somerville.

A second person, detained at the scene for questioning, was turned over to another agency on outstanding warrants, the sheriff’s office said.
