An Athens contractor trying to bring a limestone quarry to Belle Mina has been awarded a $6.2 million contract by the city of Huntsville to resurface 54 streets within the next 10 months.
The city council approved the contract with Grayson Carter & Son Contracting Inc. to improve neighborhood streets as part of Huntsville’s Resurfacing of Residential Streets Fiscal 2024 phase two project.
