The Huntsville City Council has committed up to $1.5 million for a project to improve two intersections on Slaughter Road.

The council voted to enter into an agreement of understanding with Madison County and the city of Madison for the project, which City Director of Urban and Economic Development Shane Davis said is expected to cost about $5.5 million.
