Huntsville chamber’s job fair offers second-chance at employment

Huntsville area residents seeking a change in their career path have an opportunity Tuesday to do just that.

The Huntsville-Madison County Chamber is hosting a ReLaunch Job Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church to match job seekers with their future place of employment.

“We host that twice a year,” Chamber Vice President of Marketing and Communications Claire Aiello told the Lede. “It’s for people in the community who are looking for a different opportunity, or a better opportunity. We know that our companies need workers. Some of our companies are looking for new talent. Some of the people in our community are trying to connect with those companies.”

Aiello said 45 local companies and businesses are participating in the fair.

“People who are looking for a better opportunity can come and meet with 45 companies in one room,” she said. “You can walk around, learn about the different jobs that are open at these companies and apply for them. They sometimes hire people on site.”
