Human remains were found Wednesday in a shallow, makeshift grave in Walker County.

The discovery was made near Bremen, according to the sheriff’s office. No additional details have been released.

The victim died recently, authorities said. They did not say how or when, but said a person is in custody in connection with the incident.

“The general public is not in any danger concerning this incident,’’ according to a sheriff’s office statement, “and details will be released as they become available.”

A press conference will be held at 10 a.m. Friday.
