Second-ranked Class 4A Alexandria won the Brewer Bash tournament to improve to 25-10 on the season. The Valley Cubs were 11-0 last week with six regular-season wins to go with the tournament championship.

In the regular season, Alexandria beat Class 5A No. 9 Sylacauga, Elmore County, Hokes Bluff, Jacksonville and topped White Plains twice. In the tournament, the Cubs beat Lincoln County (Tenn.), Danville, DAR, 1A No. 3 Athens Bible and Brewer.
