How to watch Alabama-Chattanooga football: What is SEC Network+?
Every year, Alabama football is like every other SEC team. The Crimson Tide has one game that’s aired solely on the conference’s streaming platform, SEC Network+.
Saturday’s matchup against Chattanooga at Bryant-Denny Stadium is the 2023 streaming-only contest for UA. The game will not be available to watch on traditional television or cable.
Instead, Tide fans will have to find their way over to a streaming device to watch the game. That could include a computer, tablet, cell phone, game console or streaming box, such as a Roku or Apple TV, to watch the game.
SEC Network+ is a digital platform meant to complement the regular SEC Network’s programming. It shows select non-conference games for football.
How to access SEC Network+
Cable or satellite subscribers who have the SEC Network as part of their package are in good shape with regards to SEC Network+. They can simply go to ESPN’s website and log in with their provider, find the game and watch it from a computer.
ESPN also has apps for phones and tablets, as well as streaming boxes like Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire and more. Again, those with cable or satellite subscriptions that include the regular SEC Network can simply log in to the app, which is available on each box’s app store, and watch the game.
For those who don’t have traditional cable or satellite subscriptions, but do have streaming packages like Sling, YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, Fubo, etc., the process would work exactly the same way if using the ESPN website or app.
For those who don’t subscribe to a streaming service, cable or satellite, ESPN+ is an option. The service is a standalone streaming option that offers live sports and original programming of its own, along with extra website content.
It also includes access to SEC Network+. ESPN+ currently costs $10.99 per month.
To subscribe, simply go to ESPN’s website and look for the logo, then fill out the required information.
Alabama and Chattanooga are scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. CT Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
