The fourth Republican primary debate is set for tonight (Wednesday, Dec. 6) at the University of Alabama.

How can I watch the debate?

Who are the candidates in tonight’s debate?

One notable omission from tonight’s slate of candidates is front runner, former President Donald Trump who has opted out of all primary candidate showdowns. Taking the stage will be Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

How did candidates qualify for the debate?

To qualify, candidates were required to have obtained at least 80,000 unique donors and signed the “Beat Biden pledge agreeing to support whoever becomes the 2024 GOP nominee. They must have also received at least 6% in two national polls, or 6% in one national poll and one poll from two separate polls from early voting states.

Candidates North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson failed to make the stage. South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, who was at the third debate, has taken himself out of the running for president.
