How to apply for a job at the new Auburn Buc-ee’s
Buc-ee’s newest Alabama location is nearing completion, and the Texas-based convenience store chain is looking to hire.
According to WSFA, the store seeks to fill about 250 positions for its newest Alabama location off Interstate 85 at exit 50.
The store is aiming for an opening in April.
It’s the chain’s fourth location in Alabama, following Athens, which opened in November, Leeds and Robertsdale.
Buc-ee’s will host a multi-day hiring event Feb. 20 through 22 at Cypress Hill, 8050 Lee Road 53 in Auburn, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Full-time positions include cashier, grocery, gift/merchandise and janitorial/maintenance with pay ranging from $17 to $20 an hour.
You must apply here online to attend.
The $45 million travel center, with 120 gas pumps and the usual rollcall of Buc-ee’s treats, broke ground in November 2021 with a projected opening date of one year later.
Buc-ee’s is expected to generate up to $2.6 million in revenue annually for Auburn in city taxes. It’s also an important addition at exit 50 off Interstate 85.
Last November, the chain also broke ground on a new 75,000 square foot location in Texas, to be slightly larger than a store in Tennessee that currently holds the record for the world’s largest convenience store, according to CBS Austin.
