The southern states of Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi are seeing a historic outbreak of pine beetles. It is the most significant southern pine beetle outbreak in two decades. The current outbreak began in 2023 and the numbers are growing daily.
