How did US Attorney Jessica Aber die? Death of Biden-appointed prosecutor mired in conspiracy theories

Authorities have not seen any evidence Jessica Aber was the victim of foul play in their investigation into how the former U.S. attorney appointed by Joe Biden died in her home over the weekend at the age of 43.

Police investigating the death of Aber, the former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, said Tuesday night there is “no evidence suggesting that her death was caused by anything other than natural causes,” the Washington Post reported.

Friends of Aber told the paper she had a longtime serious medical condition. It was unclear what her condition was.

Aber was an assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia before her appointment to lead the office in August 2021.

As U.S. attorney, Aber oversaw cases that included two Russian nationals charged with money laundering and a murder conviction against an El Salvadoran national who was a member of the MS-13 gang.

She also oversaw the conviction of an Afghan refugee housed at the Marine Corps. Base Quantico who sexually assaulted a 3-year-old girl on the base and a plot by a Guatemalan immigrant to commit a mass shooting on July 4, 2022 in Richmond, Virginia.

The nature of Aber’s work and her age coupled with the the ongoing investigation into her death fueled right-wing conspiracy theories online, with skeptics including the anonymous X conservative influencer Catturd and Bill Clinton rape accuser Juanita Broaddrick.
