Homes in this Alabama city are among the fastest-selling in U.S.
The U.S. housing market has cooled but it remains a seller’s market.
That’s especially true in some places where housing inventory continues to move fast.
Stacker recent used data from Redfin to compile a list of metros where homes are selling the fastest. Metros are ranked by the least days listed for sale for the month of November 2022 and ties are broken by the highest November home sales. Metros with over 300 home sales in November were included.
The analysis showed the median number of days a home in the U.S. spent on the market in November 2022 was 37, about two weeks slower than the same time the year before but roughly half the amount of time homes took to sell in summer 2017.
