Holiday drinks are back at Starbucks and one popular choice didn’t make the cut

Holiday drinks are back at Starbucks and one popular choice didn’t make the cut

Starbucks and the holidays go together like, well, peppermint and mocha. And, starting today, you can enjoy the coffee chain’s seasonal drinks in this year’s festive cups.

First, the drinks…

New this year is the Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai. This drink combined gingerbread, chai spices and creamy oatmilk for a holiday beverage. The drink is available iced and hot.

Fan favorite Peppermint Mocha is back for its 21st year. The drink features Starbucks’ Espresso Roast combined with steamed milk, mocha sauce and peppermint-syrup topped with whipped cream and dark chocolate curls. It’s available hot, iced and as a Frappuccino blended beverage.

Caramel Brulee Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte and Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte are also on the menu.

New this year is the Oleato Gingerbread Oatmilk. Available at select locations, the drink featured Blonde Espresso with notes of gingerbread and steamed oatmilk infused with Partanna extra virgin olive oil and dusted with ginger and citrus flavors.

There’s one notable absence from this year’s menu – the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, which first debuted in 2017. The espresso-based beverage combined steamed milk and a sprinkle of candied cranberry sugar.

For the drinks that are on the menu, they will be served in holiday red, green and magenta cups. This year’s patterns are Party Plaid, Peppermint Swirl, Ribbon Spool, Bauble Wrap and Frosted Bauble.

Holiday food

There are plenty of good eats to enjoy for Starbucks as well.

On the menu are Gingerbread Loaf, Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop, Cranberry Bliss Bar, Snowman Cookie and Sugar Plum Cheese Danish.
