‘Hillbilly Elegy:’ Where to buy Trump VP candidate J.D. Vance’s best-selling memoir
Republican nominee Donald Trump’s choice of J.D. Vance as his running mate has propelled the Ohio Senator to the forefront of American politics. It’s also pushed his 2016 autobiography, “Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis,” to the top of the books list on Amazon.
Amazon has “Hillbilly Elegy” in hardback on sale for $18.98, a discount of 32% off the regular price of $27.99. Paperback versions are $10.93, a discount of 42% off the regular price of $18.99.
“Hillbilly Elegy” details Vance’s rough childhood in Jackson, Kentucky and Ohio that included alcoholism and domestic violence. Vance later joined the Marines then attended Ohio State and Yale Law School where he met his wife, Usha. Vance was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2022.
His book was turned a 2020 film by the same name. It stars Gabriel Basso as Vance, Amy Adams as his mother, Bev, and Glenn Close as his grandmother, Bonnie. It was directed by Oscar-winner Ron Howard.
