High surf advisory issued for Mobile and Baldwin counties until Wednesday morning

On Tuesday at 9:06 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory in effect until Wednesday at 10 a.m. for Mobile and Baldwin counties.

The weather service states, “Large breaking waves of 4 to 6 feet in the surf zone.”

“Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water,” adds the weather service. “Everyone should remain out of the water due to life-threatening surf conditions. Stay off of jetties, piers, and other waterside infrastructure.”
