Hexcel building $40M Decatur building
Hexcel’s $200 million expansion of its facility in Decatur put on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic is back on again.
Decatur issued a permit for a $40 million building earlier this month, according to Southern Exposure Information. The project at 3300 Mallard Fox Drive near the Tennessee River is part of the expansion announced in 2016, Kay Veazey, Hexcel senior vice president for corporate and marketing communications told the Huntsville Times.
It is the most expensive project issued a permit in Madison, Morgan and Limestone counties since July 9. Overall, 272 permits were issued in the area totaling $132.5 million.
