Here’s who Auburn baseball will play in the second round of the SEC tournament

Auburn baseball’s first opponent in the Southeastern Conference tournament is set.

After skipping the first round with a bye, the No. 6 seed Tigers will face Texas A&M, the No. 14 seed. First pitch of that game is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday and will be televised on SEC Network.

Auburn didn’t face Texas A&M in the regular season, but finished eight spots higher than the Aggies in the conference standings. Texas A&M finished the regular season 28-25 overall and 11-19 in conference play, taking a step back after reaching the national championship game last season.

It’s the first season for Texas A&M head coach Michael Earley, who replaced former coach Jim Schlossnagle, who left College Station after the 2024 season to take the head coaching job at Texas.
