Here’s Alabama football’s defensive depth chart, starters for WKU game

After Alabama football opted not to release a depth chart on the Monday ahead of its season opener for the second year in a row, the Crimson Tide two-deep finally dropped on Saturday. UA is set to open the 2024 campaign against Western Kentucky at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT. on ESPN.

Before game time, here’s the Crimson Tide’s defensive depth chart, as released in the press box. Please note UA only announced the chart for one cornerback position.

Domani Jackson has been the expected starter for the unannounced spot, with Jaylen Mbakwe also likely to see playing time.

Defensive tackle: Tim Smith or Jaheim Oatis, James Smith

Stinger: Deontae Lawson, Jeremiah Alexander or Justin Okoronkwo

Cornerback: Zabien Brown, DaShawn Jones or Zavier Mincey
