Home prices across the United States skyrocketed following the coronavirus pandemic, which (combined with low interest rates) sharply increased demand. Nowhere was the “seller’s market” felt more dramatically than Baldwin County, the fastest-growing county in Alabama.

In the last year, rising interest rates have cooled the national real estate market, but home prices in Mobile and Baldwin County are still largely increasing. Stacker compiled a list of the cities where home prices are increasing the fastest using data from Zillow. Cities are ranked by their change in price from August 2022 to August 2023.

The list includes cities from the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes most of Baldwin County.
