Whether you think social media is a good thing or a bad thing is up to you.
But one that you can’t debate is that social media in most of its forms has become the platform of choice to swap ideas on my favorite topic of conversation – food.
Admittedly I don’t spend a lot of time perusing the various avenues for public discourse available on the world wide web. Oh, I have my favorite sites, and the topics of my searches are usually food or sports.
But I’m also savvy enough to realize that many, many foodies and other food enthusiasts do use such avenues to swap food ideas, and I think that’s a good thing. So I decided to take a plunge in the shallow end of the information pool and see what folks are chatting about.
What I found was reassuring and enlightening.
I was reassured that the idea of comfort food is still very much alive and well. People want comfort and they what familiarity.
