Here are the 10 highest earning zip codes in the Huntsville metro according to Stacker

According to the Alabama Department of Labor’s most recent statistics, workers in the Huntsville metro are the highest paid in the state by more than $15,000 a year over the nearest high earning metro.

As of Sept. 15, workers in the metro earn $70,917 a year. Workers in the Birmingham-Hoover metro earn $55,848 a year, Mobile workers make $53,976. Montgomery workers earn $49,400 and workers in nearby Decatur only earn $41,808 a year.

According to the Huntsville Area Association-University of Alabama in Huntsville Second Quarter Economics report, the median household income in Madison County in 2022 was $76,977.

The 2020 median household income in the U.S. was $67,521, a decrease of 2.9% from the 2019 median of $69,560, according to the U.S. Census’s annual analysis of income and poverty in the U.S., Stacker reported.
