Here are five of the local news stories you missed if you didn’t read the Birmingham Lede last week:

· In our Sunday Q&A the new head of American Family Care talked about focusing on both chronic care and wellness for people in the community.

· Heather Gann, the Lede reporter in Birmingham, continued her tenacious look at towing in the downtown, specifically how the city has now updated ordinances governing the way towing happens.

· Gann told readers about five of the best places to learn about Birmingham’s pivotal civil rights history.

· The Lede’s Political Connections series got five questions with District 45 Rep. Susan DuBose, who talked about education, election security, and more.

· Last Friday the Lede continued our College Football Picks contest.

There’s a lot more local, state, national and world news in every issue of the Lede every day. And each edition has a page designed to tell you how to navigate The Lede. It even has a cool YouTube video.

The Lede is a work in progress, and we’re always working to make it better. We want your input. Suggestions? Constructive criticism? Stories you’d like to see? Questions about your community? Something for us to look into that will make your life better? Send me a note at [email protected].
