Jefferson County added nearly 1,000 new jobs last year and local leaders are working towards bringing in thousands more in the near future and helping more people access them, according to Jefferson Traywick, economic development advisor for the county.

Earlier this month Traywick updated the Jefferson County Commission on last year’s job and wage growth.
