Heat advisory issued for North Alabama until Saturday evening

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory at 3:17 a.m. on Saturday valid for Saturday between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. for Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall and Cullman counties.

The weather service comments, “Heat index values up to 107 degrees expected.”
