On Tuesday at 2:28 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory valid for Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. for Blount, St. Clair, Talladega, Coosa, Tallapoosa and Lee counties.

The weather service says, “Heat index values up to 107 degrees expected.”

“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” adds the weather service.
