Heat advisory for southwest Alabama on Tuesday

Hot and oppressive weather is again in the forecast for Alabama on Tuesday.

It will feel hot enough to warrant a heat advisory for several counties in the southwest part of the state, according to the National Weather Service.

A heat advisory will be in effect for Choctaw, Washington, Mobile and Baldwin counties from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to forecasters.

Air temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-90s in much of the state today. That, combined with higher humidity levels in south Alabama will make it feel as hot as 110, according to the weather service.

More of Alabama could find itself under heat advisories on Wednesday and Thursday, according to forecasters.

Highs on Wednesday could again climb into the mid- to upper 90s, and humidity levels are expected to be on the increase.

A few triple-digit temperatures will be possible in Alabama on Wednesday.

Slightly cooler temperatures are expected to take over by Saturday and last through the weekend.
