Heat advisories for entire state of Alabama Wednesday
The last day of July will be typical for Alabama — hot and steamy.
However, the combination of heat and humidity is expected to be high enough to warrant heat advisories for the entire state.
Air temperatures on Wednesday are expected to reach the mid- to upper 90s statewide today:

Humidity levels will also be high, so high that the heat index, or “feels like” temperature, could go as high as 114 degrees in parts of the state this afternoon.
The National Weather Service is forecasting the usual summertime chance for scattered rain and storms, but they are expected to be more isolated than earlier this week.
Some of the storms, if they develop, could be strong, but organized severe weather isn’t expected in Alabama today.
Expect what forecasters call a “rinse and repeat” forecast for Thursday, and heat advisories have already been extended into tomorrow for parts of Alabama.
Here is a look at Wednesday’s heat advisories:
NORTH ALABAMA
* Heat advisory from noon Wednesday until 7 p.m. Thursday for all of north Alabama.
