A Hayden man was killed in a Saturday afternoon head-on crash that injured two other people, including a juvenile.

Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victim as Shawn M. Albright. He was 34.

The wreck happened at 2:50 p.m. on Blount County 5 near Pinecrest Drive, about three miles west of Blount Springs.

Senior Trooper Vu Quang said Albright was driving a Honda Accord that collided head on with a Dodge Ram 1500 driven by 46-year-old Bridget Biggs of Pinson.

Albright was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene, Quang said.

Biggs and a juvenile in her truck were taken to area hospitals. The severity of their injuries was not released.

Troopers are investigating.
