HBO announces team choice for in-season ‘Hard Knocks’

The third year of the “Hard Knocks” franchise’s in-season version will feature the Miami Dolphins, HBO announced on Monday afternoon.

Produced in conjunction with NFL Films and the NFL, “Hard Knocks: In Season with the Miami Dolphins” will premiere later this fall on MAX.

The Dolphins have a 5-2 record after a 31-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.

Led by former Alabama All-American Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback, the Dolphins lead the NFL in points and yards in the 2023 season.

In addition to Tagovailoa, Miami has six other players from Alabama high schools and colleges:

· Lester Cotton, guard, Central-Tuscaloosa, Alabama

· Byron Cowart, defensive lineman, Auburn (on the practice squad)

· Raekwon Davis, defensive tackle, Alabama

· Da’Shawn Hand, defensive lineman, Alabama

· Tyreek Hill, wide receiver, West Alabama

· Jaylen Waddle, wide receiver, Alabama

The training-camp “Hard Knocks” series has been around since 2001. The in-season program started in 2021 with the Indianapolis Colts and continued in 2022 with the Arizona Cardinals.

HBO announced the team choice without releasing any details on times and dates for the program.
